Occasionally milk was applied to create a luster impact on the glass. They ultimately ended up known as Kakamba Prosser beads, named following the town while in the Republic of Congo where they have been traded. Prosser beads started to fall away from favor in the early 1900’s when a lot more elaborate glass bead layouts were released in Africa.
